Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'...
Mar. 8th, 2006 12:25 amI've been out driving recently. I can't believe I forgot to post that ^^; Well, I went driving at night for the first time tonight. It was kinda scary, but cool. My mom didn't spaz on me as bad, since I'd gotten better at driving with my dad Sunday. I'm getting better, I think, though I have a tendancy to veer a bit too far to the right. I kinda jerk to a start and stop too ^^;
I got to rent Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (hereby known as HP4 cause that's a long title ^^;) and it was exactly how I expected it to be. A complete and utter hackjob. Seriously, I keep asking myself why I subject myself to this abuse ^^; I'd also love to know how these people who've never read the books understand anything of what's going on?! They only left in the BARE minimum, and it drove me nuts. The only cool thing was watching the tournament events, with the dragons, or the underwater one, and the ending. At least they did a half decent job with the Harry/Voldemort duel. It was almost like I'd remembered from the books, minus Fawkes the Pheonix, cause I'm pretty sure he showed up there in the book at some point. Ah well. The way I see it, the movies are more of a visual supplement to the books anyways.
I also rented The Corpse Bride, but haven't watched it yet. I hope it's good, cause I gave up renting Howl's Moving Castle to see it (I'll probably buy that last one anyways, I've really liked the last couple Miyazaki movies).
Anyways, that's about all I've been up to. Wish me luck on not wrecking the car on any subsequent lessons ^_^
