Ok, so, I know I was gonna try and wait on Kamen Rider OOO, but it looks like that's not gonna be possible without it being spoiled to hell (well, moreso than it already has been for me), so I'm just gonna watch it. Gonna catch up to current before Animazement. Means I'll have to wait a bit longer to watch Goseiger and Blade though, because if I watch other series in-between, I'll start mixing things up, and that's bad. It's why I only watch one series at a time if I can help it.
Anyways, the usual episode by episode comments are under the cut.
Episode 1 - Ok, so character intro time. We've got Eiji, the main character, who is really laid-back and reminds me a lot of Yusuke from Kuuga. We've got the disembodied Greeed hand, Ankh, who gives Eiji the OOO belt and medals. Then there are the main bad guys, the Greeed, and the lower tier ones, the Yummy (such stupid names x.x).
OK, so really, besides doing the usual intro of characters, the first part of the episode isn't all that interesting. It does have the Anhk arm getting smooshed under a vending machine though. Once the battle starts though, things get fun. Ankh arm is getting beat on, and Eiji steps in to help. Ankh gives him the OOOs belt, and shows him how to transform (and Eiji's kinda like WTH? and comments on the "Ta-To-Ba" song, which is amusing). After the battle, Ankh possesses the nearly detective, so he has a bosy to move around with. Yeah. You see the detective's sister at the end of the episode trying to call him. She'll be showing up more later.
Episode 2 - LAWL! OK, I can appreciate TV-Nihon's little thing at the beginning of episode 2. "Long =/= Ankh". Glad I'm not the only one who thought they looked similar. I alwasy thought Long land Phillip looked more alike though.Anyways, episode proper....and OMG, LOL, Ankh. He makes his point that if he seperates from the detective, the detective dies in about 10 minutes, so Eiji pretty much just lets Ankh possess him after that, since there isn't much choice. Also, explinations on the two types of medals. So colored ones are Core Medals, silver ones are Cell Medals. Easy enough. Sad that I've been playing with OOOs toys before this though, and didn't know the difference XD Oh yeah, and OOOs gets his sword this episode. I kinda forgot about it, but he does have one ^^; Oh, and the bike. Every Kamen Rider need a bike (although it's still to be seen how much he'll use it). OOO's reaction to the Tako candroids is the funniest though, by far, bouncing all excited like on the bike XD. Also, I think I always mention this... but the suit actor that plays all the main Kamen Riders, Seiji Takaiwa, is awesome. He always does such a kickass job...he's been acting as all the main Riders since Agito, and if you didn't know it, you'd never notice, because he's so good at making it seem like there ISN'T a seperate guy in the suit from the main actor playing the Kamen Rider :P Which is what you want for these shows.
Anyways, I liked this episode a lot more than the first, and it's gotten me in the mood to watch, so that's good.
Episode 3 - You know...I'm kinda surprised at how easy Ankh's arm comes off of that guy ^^; This is the second time it's been accidentally pulled off. Anyways, different type of Yummy this time. Kinda intresting to see Eiji getting used to the different things he uses to fight, like the vending machine for either the bike or candroids. The candroids really are cute too (too bad most of the toys for them suck). Also, yeah, Ankh really is a bastard.
Episode 4 - Oh yeah, that's right, last episode he took that iPhone from the detective's apartment. He's checking it out this episode. Also, he detaches to arm form just long enough to sneak up behind two unsuspecting kids and...steal their popcicles...LOL! Hina, the sister of the guy Ankh possessed (who they haven't said his name yet), also finds out what happened from Eiji. Still wonder what's going to happen with that by series end. Also...DAMN Eiji! Loses one Core Medal...but STEALS THREE. Props. Cheetah's also a pretty cool Medal effect.
Episde 5 - LMAO! Eiji amuses way too easily...and what's sad is I'd probably do that exact same thing ^^; The Batta candroid is so freaking cute. Actually, so far all the Candroids have been really cute. Still don't get why people like the toy versions so much though. The meet the head of the Kougami Foundation, who can only mean trouble later on, but for right now, he's the guy who's been giving Eiji all the stuff like the bike and sword. He wants them to share the Medals they get in exchange for using those. Ankh doesn't like this (Eiji doesn't seem to mind, but he was busy playing with the Batta Candroid too ^^; ) Anyways, during the battle at the end of the episode, they manage to get a full set of the Green Medals. That means seeing the full green combo shouldn't be far behind.
Episode 6 - Finally, Ankh gives Eiji the Ta-To-Ba set of Medals, so he can transform on his own. Ankh still keeps the others, but at least Eiji isn't defenseless. This is also why having an item-based belt kinda sucks. If it gets taken away, you're screwed. (I realized a lot of my favorite Riders don't have this issue, save for Kiva...and Kivat will at least show up on his own). Also, Kougami's pretty much told Ankh to give up his share of the medals or else the whole system with the vending machine bikes and things won't work (and OOOs in in battle, so he doesn't know this, and spends some time beating on one...which is knda hilarious). Anyways, an agreement is made, OOOs gets his bike, and it's off to battle. Alos, I'd love to know how Ankh knows how to ride one all things considered, but eh, oh well. They decide to use the all-Green combo, Gata-Kiri-Ba. It's basically like the Kagebunshin no Jutsu from Naruto, OOOs style. Lots of OOOs go and beat up on all the Yummy. Eiji then proceeds to pass out afterwards from the strain ^^;
Episode 7 - Hehe, I figured as much. Eiji got a job working at the same place as Hina XD (He's dressed as a samurai to boot to match the theme. He looks cute!). Seems he doesn't want to stay there though, even though they want him to. Also, helloooo product placement...first the iPhone, now an iPad (where the hell did Ankh pick that thing up anyways?). I hate Apple products, so overpriced. Anyways... at least we get a general run-down of who has which Core Medals right now. Anyways, Ankh ends up falling into a trap while he goes after the Medals, and Uva beats on him pretty good. Also, I do kinda feel bad for Gotou, he hasn't really seemed to deserve all the crap he gets...
Episode 8 - While Eiji;'s dealing with the angry wife-husband duo from the last episode, Ankh's gotten himself pretty beat up. He bails on Shingo (yeah, I got sick of not knowing Hina's brother's name so I wiki'ed it), and tries to run away, but runs into some kids who start poking him with sticks and throwing rocks at him...*snicker* Hehehe... I'd feel bad for him if he wasn't such an asshole all the time. Plus, it forces him to go back. He doesn't want to call Eiji for help though. Eiji finally wonders where he is and finds him though. He brings him some Cell Medals. The way they act towards each other is amusing. Eiji still doesn't want to take the job at the restaurant, but Hina realizes it's because he doesn't want to have her run into Ankh. In response, she knocks him out of the tree he was in, grabs him (by the arm of course), and basically tells him off before yanking him to the ground. It's kinda epic. After that, Eiji accepts the job.
Episode 9 - Halloween episode o.o; (Well, least I know what the date's supposed to be). And OMG, Eiji, you tard...those stupid fangs XD Ankh's upstairs, eating a popcicle. And OH MY GOD! Hina is awesome, LOL! She's going after Ankh with a vengance, since she's decided to protect her brother while he's attached to him XD ...she starts by taking his popsicle and dragging him downstairs. She gives him a small roasted chicken to eat, saying her brother likes bird meat...LMAO! Ankh, being a bird Greeed, is visibly twitching and is not amused XD Love it, LOVE IT! He deserves it too XD He's pissed and his Greed arm's showing, but it's a Halloween party, and the owner thinks it's just a well-made prop, lol. Then there's the story Eiji gave her for Ankh, and HOLY CRAP, the beginning of this episode is just full of Ankh trolling, and it's glorious.
I guess they wanted to get the crack in this episode done early though, cause it gets pretty serious quick, with explosions, and a guy with a CREEPY-ass doll. Seriously, what's with the creepy dolls?! W had an episode with one too. Also, finally some backstory on Eiji. He's been through some pretty serious crap. Anyways...two of the Greeed show up besides the Yummy, and Eiji knows he's got the Medals for the Yellow combo, so he goes for it. Also, just noticed, that's Eiji's actor singing the battle theme songs! Holy crap, they're letting the leads sing again! He sounds good too. (*make a mental note to start remembering the actor's names at some point*). You find out who the creepy doll guy is at the end. Maki. He works for Kougami...should have figured.
Episode 10 - Ankh, seriously, that arm gets knocked off really easily doesn't it? ^^; And Eiji, holy crap, you get to see what Eiji's like when he's seriously pissed off. And yeah, Maki is seriously off his rocker. Tora Candroid is pretty cool, it attaches to the bike...although it kinda rampages leaving OOOs to chase after it ^^; ...and accidentally thwacks Ankh in the process XD Than it's a bit of a rodeo with the thing, lol. Then Eiji pretty much beats the combo medals out of Ankh (arm form), then slides him aside...wow, lol. On a note, the CG in this battle was noticeable, but not as bad as some of the stuff I've seen in Kamen Rider. At the end of the episode, there's one last bit of Ankh trolling for good measure.
Man, I'm loving this series so far. Still really trying to decide how much I like Eiji. I'm thinking of cosplaying him since senpai is cosplaying Ankh. Speaking of Ankh, he is a bastard, but he gets trolled enough in return because of it that it's really hilarious, so I can't hate him. Hina's cool, a female character that I actually liked from the get-go, and is the source of much Ankh trolling as well. Looking forward to watching more episodes.
